The
following is a typical workflow for a project. (e.g. an encyclopaedia
publisher). It could be applied to on-line, documentary or other publishing
scenarios.
Stage 1 : Project Inception. Draw up schedules and costs. Media which is hard to
obtain or has complex rights, can be identified in advance. Liaise with authors,
editors and other key individuals, to agree content requirements
Stage 2: First Research is submitted. Further
requirements will be researched by an agreed date.
Stage 3 : Mediaselectors finalise all remaining
content
Stage 4 : Client chooses content & costs are
provided by Mediaselectors
Stage 5: Provision of High Resolution formats and
arranging clearances
